The Special Products Group (SPG) is basically a project implementatation group which was created to cater to the use of our products in non-mining applications needs especially in the areas of defence, paramilatary forces and space organizations.

SPG takes up projects from its nascent stages, carries out developmental work, sets up production facility and finally commercializes the product. Products executed by SPG over the years range from simple ignitors/ any type of squibs, delay detonators with particular emphasis on 4sec and 7 sec delay detonators for the Army and paramilitary forces, Explosive Actuated pressure Release Device (EAPRD) and associated squibs for Navy, Flexi Severance Cord System (FLSC) and flares for the Air Force. Gylcidyl Azide Polymer (GAP) and associated high energetic materials were also provided for the defence laboratories and space organizations. Special purpose ignitors/ squibs were also designed for missiles and aerospace projects.

The group consists of highly qualified technical professionals whose core competency is undertaking projects right from concept to commercialization. The methodology and processes designed and adopted by the SPG ensures a product that meets the customer's need within time-bound and cost-effective parameters. Strict confidentiality is maintained during development, product trials and production.
